What if you only move part of your stack?
Then it's worse for a while. Keep Slack and add Worklyne and you have twelve tools and two places claiming to be the record, which is exactly the failure you're trying to fix. Half a cutover is not a cautious cutover.
So don't split a surface. Move one whole surface at a time, on a date, and make the old one read-only when you do. Partial by surface works. Partial by person doesn't.
Most teams take about three weeks in this order. Meetings and tasks first, because that's where the retyping is. The loop pays for itself before email has moved.

There is no SOC 2 report and no ISO 27001 certificate, and no date for either goes on this page before there is a signed engagement behind it. What follows is what actually holds today. If your security review needs a signed report right now, we are not there yet, and we would rather you hear it here than in week three of a procurement cycle.
Past 200 seats, the hard part stops being the product.
It becomes identity, residency, retention and the security questionnaire. Those are handled, and where they are not yet, the section above says so by name.
Cutovers above 200 seats run division by division on the same rule as everywhere else: one whole surface at a time, with a named lead on our side and a rollback date you set.

What is Worklyne?
One workspace holding the conversation and the work systems together: email on your domain, channels and direct messages, calls, a scheduler, projects, tasks, clients, files, attendance, leave, employee records, and a single permission model over all of it.
How is this different from a note-taker like Granola or Otter?
They read, Worklyne writes. A note-taker sits on top of Jira, Outlook and your HRMS and hands you a summary, and a person still retypes it into three systems. Worklyne owns the destination, so the AI drafts the actual change and the systems reflect reality before the call ends.
Does the AI change things without asking?
No. Every draft has an approve and an edit control, and nothing is written until a person says yes. The approver's name and a timestamp are stored next to the change forever. Autonomy is not on our roadmap.
Do we have to move everything at once?
No, but do not split a surface. Move one whole surface at a time, on a date, and make the old one read only when you do. Partial by surface works. Partial by person does not, because you end up with two places claiming to be the record.
How long does a migration take?
About three weeks for most teams. Week one is meetings, tasks and projects. Week two is chat, then email. Week three is attendance and leave, starting at a month boundary so balances and payroll periods line up. A named person on our side runs each cutover during the beta.
What carries over from Jira and Slack?
Jira issues import with their keys intact, so WL-284 stays WL-284, along with status columns and epics as parent tasks. Slack public channel history imports from a workspace export, with channel names and membership. Burndown reporting and Slack app integrations do not come with you.
What does Worklyne not do well yet?
There is no desktop file sync client, so files are web and mobile only. No burndown or velocity charts. Notion style databases flatten into documents, so relations and rollups do not carry. No payroll or benefits administration. Calls cap at 100 participants, so webinars stay where they are.
What does it cost?
Base is $59 per seat per month and Max is $99. Teams who join during the public beta pay 20 percent less on either, held for as long as they stay, which works out at $47 a seat on Base.
Are you SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?
Not yet, and there is no published date for either. No date goes on this page before there is a signed engagement behind it. GDPR is in effect with a signed DPA and standard contractual clauses, and an external penetration test of the web app and API is booked.
Where does our data live?
During the public beta every workspace is hosted in Singapore. EU and US regions are in build, and you will pick your region at signup once they land. Region is fixed after signup.
Can we get our data out again?
Yes. Any admin can export the entire workspace, including records, transcripts, task history and the audit log, with no ticket and no fee. Leaving is a menu item rather than a support request.
What platforms does it run on?
Web today, in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Desktop apps for Linux, macOS and Windows and mobile apps for Android and iOS are in build, with no announced dates.
Is it a fit for a team our size?
Worklyne is built for teams of 10 to 2,000 people. Pilots start at 25 seats, and above 200 seats cutovers run division by division on the same rule: one whole surface at a time.
